All Shook Up

PT&B Fun Facts:

PT&B partner David L Thompson has legal roots that run deep. In 1956, Elvis Presley was scheduled to perform in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Worried about the morals of the local youth, a women's auxiliary group wanted to stop the hip shaking Rock n Roll star from putting on a show. They contacted then District Attorney George Thompson to stop the planned performance and even wrote letters to the FBI.

D.A .Thompson went to meet with Elvis and determined he was doing nothing wrong. The show went on to the delight of Elvis fans.

George Thompson was the father of PT&B law partner David Thompson. He would go on to become the Attorney General of Wisconsin and eventually a law professor at the Western New England School of Law.
